Hormone Pellet Therapy: An Ideal Way To Balance Hormones For Women and Men
Imbalanced hormones affect all aspects of your wellness, physical and mental. Reproductive hormones such as estrogen and testosterone are no different. At Rhett Women’s Center, we find that hormone pellet therapy is an excellent solution for optimizing and replenishing women’s and men’s hormone levels. Pellet Therapy is among the methods of hormone optimization used to balance hormones for men and women.
Hormone Pellet Therapy at Rhett Women’s Center is a form of bio-identical hormone therapy that delivers hormones that are molecularly identical to your body’s hormones. Pellets the size of a grain of rice provide estradiol (a form of estrogen) or testosterone tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Edmund Rhett or Dr. David Smith place testosterone +/- estradiol pellets through a small incision in the hip or buttocks to insert the pellet. The procedure only takes about three minutes, is painless, and requires no recovery time.
Hormone pellet therapy’s primary benefit over other methods of hormone optimization is that the pellets release small amounts of hormones directly into the bloodstream, creating less risk of inconsistent delivery. Other benefits include:
- Increased libido
- Increased muscle mass
- Decreased body fat
- Reduced risk for diseases such as osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s
- Improved cardiovascular health
- Healthy blood sugars
- Healthy cholesterol levels
- Less hot flashes/night sweats
- More energy
- Better sleep
